Teaching Concepts for Indoor Experiences

1. Use large cardboard boxes to make stores, houses and car washes. 

2. Act out the story of “The Three Little Pigs” 

3. Talk about house. Show different pictures of homes.

4. Talk about Skyscrapers. Show pictures. Build a tower with blocks.

5. Building Vocabulary. Show pictures and name buildings.

6. What happens inside buildings? Hospital, House, Store, School, Office, etc.

Teaching Concepts for Small Group

1.  Draw pictures of houses and apartment buildings

2. Make block towers. 

3. Match paint samples for color recognition. 

4. Card Board Castles

5. You will need a small cardboard box and four cardboard paper towel tubes 

6.  Draw pictures of houses and apartment buildings. 

7. Measure the length of a room, using a ruler or yard stick. 

Teaching Concepts for Outdoor Experiences

1. Bring some large blocks or hollow blocks outdoors.

2. Invite children to use them to create buildings.

3. Provide empty cardboard boxes or crates if you don't have any large building blocks.
