1. Five Little Pumpkins

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate (hold five fingers up)

The first one said “Oh my it’s getting Late” (hands on cheeks)

The second one said “There’s a chill in the air” (arms around self)

The third one said “But we don’t care” (swing pointer finger)

The fourth one said “We’re ready for some fun!” (hands in the air)

The fifth one said “Let’s run, run, run!” (running motion)

So woooo went the wind, and out went the lights, (hug self)

And five little pumpkins rolled out of sight! (rolling motion with hands)

2. Pick A Pumpkin

Pick a pumpkin from the vine (pretend to pick a pumpkin)

Pumpkin round, pumpkin fine. (gesture to indicate “big and round”)

Pick a pumpkin from the vine (pretend to pick pumpkin)

Let’s pick pumpkins all the time! (gesture, “come with me!”)

3. Once There Was a Pumpkin

Once there was a pumpkin (make fist with hands)

And it grew (make fists wider)

4. Cut Into a Pumpkin

Cut into a pumpkin (make motion as if cutting)

Scoop it with a spoon (make scooping motions)

Carve a little mouth that looks like a moon (pretend to cut moon)

Cut two little eyes to twinkle (pretend to cut eyes)

And a big three-cornered once (pretend to cut nose)

Use 10 shiny seeds for teeth

Place them in grinning rows (hold 10 fingers up)

Light a little candle (pretend to light candle)

And when the shadows fall

Set the jolly fellow in the darkest hall (pretend to set pumpkin down)

Listen for the laughter as folds spy him (put hand behind ear)

Grinning down at us all! (point at smile)
