1.Taking Turns
Back and forth, back and forth
On the swing I go
This is how I take my turn
Swinging fast and slow.
Back and forth, back and forth
I think I’d better stop
Now it’s time to share this toy
So off it I will hop.
Up and down, up and down
On the bouncing horse I go.
This is how I take my turn,
Bouncing fast and slow.
Up and down, up and down,
I think I’d better stop.
Now it’s time to share this toy,
So off it I will hop.

2. Sharing Obstacle Course
3. Manners Police (go around playground and write tickets to those who are not using their manners)
While you want to encourage young children to be courteous and understand what sharing is, they also need to know what is okay to share and what shouldn’t be shared. Label boxes with HEALTHY TO SHARE and NOT HEALTHY TO SHARE, and provide items such as pencils, crayons, stickers, erasers, toys, tissues, hairbrushes, lip balms, toothbrushes, straws, etc. Observe and help children to decide where each item belongs and why. You could use this to connect how and why we use our “yuck bucket” in the classroom.
Homemade music
Use old coffee cans, make sure there are no rough edges. Remove paper around can and allow child/children to decorate it any way they desire. Tape/glue lid in place and use this as drum. Create different rhythms, beats, or try to repeat sounds played from their favorite songs.
Take plastic two plastic spoons, dried rice, beans, sand or beads. With a spoon place dried material in a spoon place second spoon on top and tape together, children can color the spoons to their desire. Create different rhythms, beats, or try to repeat sounds played from their favorite songs. Use these instruments while playing
