Teaching Concepts for Indoor Experiences

1. Look at pictures or examples(plastic) of vegetables and fruits that do not have seeds.

2. Talk about the importance of eating your fruits and vegetables, look at food pyramid.

3. Talk about which fruits and veggies grow from trees, ground, vines and bushes. Look at pictures.

4. Pretend play with Choosy and talk about about what he stands for.

5. Read a book about fruits and vegetables. Ask questions. 

6. Fruit and Vegetable sort. For the first sorting activity, prepare plastic fruits and vegetables and label two baskets with “fruits” and “vegetables.” Ask the class to look at the labels and instruct them to sort the fruits and vegetables by placing them in the correct basket. 

7. What color is your food. Make a color graph of fruits and vegetables.
